OUR STORY
Welcome to Marras Legacy, we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome one of the most abused and misunderstood breeds of dogs, particularly bully breeds. Our organization was founded in honor of Marra, a beloved rescue dog who tragically died, and we are committed to making a difference in her name.
Based in southern Spain, we work tirelessly to rescue dogs from across the country and provide them with the care and attention they need to thrive. We work in collaboration with local veterinarians and rehabilitation specialists to provide a safe haven for these dogs, helping them recover from any physical or emotional trauma they may have experienced.
At Marras Legacy, we believe that all dogs deserve a second chance, regardless of their breed. We work tirelessly to educate the public about bully breeds and their unique needs, dispelling myths and prejudices that prevent these dogs from finding loving homes. Our goal is to create a world where all dogs are treated with respect and compassion, regardless of breed or background.

At Marras Legacy, we're all about giving animals a second chance at life. We love taking in dogs, cats, and other animals in need, but running a rescue can be pretty costly. We've got to cover vet bills and make sure all the animals have enough food and supplies to keep them happy and healthy.
One of our biggest challenges is dealing with the medical needs of some of the animals we take in. Especially for bully breeds, skin issues and allergies can be a real problem, and treating them can be expensive. Unfortunately, some of the animals we take in need ongoing medical care, which can put a strain on our resources. It's tough because these dogs with special needs are often the ones that don't get adopted, meaning we have long-term medical expenses to deal with.
On top of all that, we've got to provide bedding, toys, and parasite treatments for all the animals we take care of. It all adds up pretty quickly, especially when we're taking care of a lot of animals.
