We've been on a long journey to find a better place for ourselves and our beloved dogs. Both Harry and I have been working tirelessly, and the high rent in our current location, coupled with limited outdoor space for our dogs, has been a challenge. But guess what? We've finally found what we believe is the perfect new home! 🥰 It's nestled in the beautiful Mijas countryside, offering fantastic places to walk, including a running river 😊. What's more, we've secured the adjacent plot, which means we now have all the space our dogs need 😊.

However, there's one catch—the house itself is tiny, and we've always prided ourselves on giving our dogs a home-like environment. We believe this is crucial for their happiness, socialization, and preparation for their forever homes ❤️. To make this move possible, we decided we needed extra housing for our dogs. We wanted to ensure we were doing everything legally, following local planning permissions and regulations. That's when we stumbled upon the idea of container conversions 😊.

After extensive research, we realized that these tiny container homes could be absolutely fantastic for our furry family members! Over the past couple of years, we've been collecting materials for this dream, and our dear friend Helle Munksgaard has generously donated materials, including gates, fence panels, and lovely wooden kennels, which saved us a small fortune! Thank you, Helle ❤️.

We've rented the house and the land, leveled the plot, and purchased two containers for 1,700 euros. We've started the project by renting a digger to dig out the footing for the fence, and Harry has diligently cemented in the posts, preparing a secure area for our communal dog homes. Our vision is to convert these containers into homes—one with a small kitchen for preparing dog meals, storing food and medications, and housing less socialized dogs. The other will be a cozy lounge where some dogs can sleep, keeping them comfortable year-round while they learn to live with others in a home-like setting ❤️.

Both homes will have securely fenced areas for play and supervised fun, leading out onto the main plot. Our plan is to set the containers side by side with space in between, and above them, we'll add a second roof to provide extra protection from the elements and create a shaded terrace area.

Now, here's where we need your help. We've come as far as we can on our own, funding much of this project ourselves, and now we're reaching out for your assistance.
